COMMENTARY | His tragic death on the first day of February, reports the Associated Press, the month honoring Black History is ironic. Don Cornelius, 75, introduced music fans of various backgrounds to R&B and soul artists on his iconic show "Soul Train." That in itself is to be honored. When I was a teen there was no MTV, just two music programs, "American Bandstand" and "Soul Train."
